Hotel Corallo  

Location. The five-floor Hotel Corallo was built in 1965 in a Mediterranean villa style and is set on a hillside with magnificent views across the Bay of Naxos in the town of Taormina. The Villa Communale Gardens are 700 metres from the hotel and the Greek Theatre is also 700 metres away. Taormina Railway Station is 300 metres from the hotel and Catania Fontanarossa Airport is 60 kilometres away, with an approximate driving time of 60 minutes.
Hotel Features. Guests are served a complimentary continental breakfast each morning and complimentary newspapers are available in the lobby. The hotel has two swimming pools (one suitable for children) set on the pretty terrace which has marvellous views across the Bay of Naxos. Multilingual staff at the 24- hour front desk can arrange airport transfers (surcharge) and those arriving by car will find free parking.

The Hotel Corallo's restaurant serves Sicilian, Italian and international specialities and features panoramic sea views.

Guestrooms. The 36 guestrooms are located over five floors and have modern decor with light wood furnishings and striped fabrics. All guestrooms include satellite television, direct-dial telephones, minibars and bathrooms with hair dryers.

Expert Tip. Seventeen kilometres from Taormina, on the slopes of Mount Etna, is the Castagno di Cento Cavilli, the Chestnut Tree of 100 Horses. This tree, split into three trunks, is reputed to be 2000 years old and is named from a legend that it sheltered 100 knights on horseback one stormy night.
