Ubicado en la bahia de Maracaibo justo al frente de cayo cangrejo Betito es la mejor opción para hospedarse y hacer el tour a cayo cangrejo cuantas veces quiera. Un lugar espectacular muy cerca a Santa Isabel para abastecerse de alimentos y bebidas al mejor precio. Informes al: 314 471 55 74

Un lugar perfecto para descansar plácidamente con la mejor vista de toda la isla y si te hospedas en este lugar puedes ir gratis. cuantas veces quieras a cayo cangrejo, ya que el dueño es el encargado de los tures al cayo el mar mas lindo de toda colombia.. aire acondicionado, cocina nevera.. todo lo que necesitas y a un precio.. increible..

If you want to have a true island experience I can whole heartedly recommend "Betito's Place". Betito is an island native born and raised in Providencia. Everyone on the island knows him and his home. My husband and I were greeted by him at the airport on our arrival and welcomed into his home. Our room was tastefully decorated and came with a small fridge filled with different drinks. The bed was very comfortable and the view could not be more beautiful. The best part, his home is on the side of the island with no mosquitos so windows can be left open to enjoy the continuous tropical breezes.

Betito is an accomplished fisherman and boat captain with one of the nicest launches on the island. We hired him for a whole day to take us wherever we wanted to go, including fishing and snorkeling, for the same price others were charging for 3-4 hour trips. He swims like a fish and easily dives down 9 meters as witnessed when I lost my snorkel and he retrieved it from the bottom of the ocean.
You could not ask for a more accommodating and friendly island host.

I arrived with 3 friends to Providencia having no idea what to expect. We knew it would be beautiful, but we didn't know that the locals would be so warm and welcoming. Case in point: Betito. He and his daughter Janette couldn't be more accommodating. As much as they offered smiles and stories from the island, they also gave us our privacy in their posada. They let us come and go, never pushing themselves on us to do tours or other things. They were, in short, wonderfully nice and hospitable. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find anyone on the island who wants to SELL you something. It is one of the safest places I've ever been...
We chose to stay in a room upstairs with 3 beds and our view was stunning. Overlooking Crab Cay, on the east side of the island (most of the bigger hotels are on the west side). The beds were comfortable and the breeze was so relaxing. True what they say--not a lot of bugs. We also had a shared balcony, next to our room, so those who didn't want to sleep could relax out there, read or stare at the moon....The only issue with our room was that Betito's two kids stayed in the room next door and they were very active, often times running down the hallways, making noise. But this was only during the day...The only other issue was the hike up the stairs. It was about 5 stories up homemade, uneven rock stairs, so if you are older and have trouble walking, this will be difficult. For everyone else, it's so worth the effort because of the views. You're higher than the tree line so get an unobstructed view of the "7 colored" water...
The breakfast they offer is simple and delicious. We requested fresh fruits from the island and Jannette didn't disappoint. It was a good start to every day, to take breakfast out on the balcony overlooking Crab Cay--really the most beautiful view from any hotel in all of Providencia.
It was so lovely getting to know Betito and Jannette. They did everything they could to make us feel comfortable. And if we wanted to do something specific, we would simply ask them, and they would go into town (about 1 mile) and set it up with one of their friends. Funny thing is, they know everyone on the island AND there are few phones! Through them is how we got the best deal on our scooter rentals and set up hiking trips. (The scooter is the way to go on Providencia--you can circumnavigate the island in 30 minutes).
All 4 of us had such a lovely time at Betito's place, we would recommend it to anyone. We will probably be back there again very soon...
